The app was launched on March8,International Women’s Day, the theme of which was, ‘Time foractionto end violence against women’. Along with the voice call andtextmessages, the app also sends out GPSco-ordinates(latitude-longitude) of your location. The receiverwill be givenyour location on the ever-handy Google maps.A woman cannot be accompanied by a man or someone she trusts allthetime to take care of her safety. So yes, why not. The apps interface also allows youtocontact emergency services such as police, ambulance andfireservices, again at the push of a button. Shout-Out is availablefordownload free of cost on the android platform. The idea is toletfriends, family or police find those in trouble andsavethem.
